LANSA: We’re Just Getting Started

Business is anything but usual, and many of us have had to make adjustments as we continue to adapt to our new environment. I hope this message finds you and your family well as we all navigate through the changes.

LANSA customers reside in more than 70 countries and work in a vast array of industries. As you can imagine, we are all having to weather these times differently. I’m happy to report that while there was uncertainty earlier in the year, the demand for low-cost development and modernization alternatives seems even higher. LANSA’s products are continuing to fill a need in segments requiring modernization of IBM i platform-based systems as well as the need to simplify and reduce investments in the development of new business applications.

In response, LANSA has stepped on the gas pedal and has issued a number of new releases, products, and environments at an unprecedented pace. This includes a complete revamp and launch of a new learning environment; the announcement and release of a new, highly secure and multilingual portal framework tool; the availability of 200+ high-performance data connectors through a strategic relationship with CData; and the release of Visual LANSA, Version 15 with a follow-up EPC release. Additionally, we have an EPC release scheduled this quarter and another scheduled for next.

While we’ve been doing our best to keep you up to date through emails, blogs, press releases, and phone calls, we recognize these venues aren’t always the most effective ways to convey our messages. Given the unique circumstances, LANSA   held its first major virtual event, Low-Code Days, where information was shared in a two-way format.. Low-Code Days is just the first of many new approaches LANSA will utilize to convey our messages in a more unique and effective manner.

Low-Code Days featured a full day of 30-minute sessions covering a variety of topics. The organization of the day’s sessions allowed  everyone to review the topics and register for just those that were of interest. I hope you had the opportunity to join us, and if you missed it, be on the lookout for additional exciting events.

As thrilling as the last few months have been here at LANSA, the next few months are shaping up to be the most exciting yet. With the release of Visual LANSA 15.1 just a few weeks away, LANSA adds the ability to easily develop progressive web apps to the Visual LANSA toolbox. Shortly after 15.1, another update will drop with even more progressive web app enhancements.
Highlights from LANSA:
